Care Force One is Macon County’s mobile health trailer, and is the only trailer of its type in the nation. Unlike other mobile units designed for a single purpose, Care Force One can be configured to accommodate school physicals, immunizations, health screenings, mental health assessments, finger printing, voter registration, and basic community information and resources. Through use of Care Force One, we have been able to improve the health and quality of life of Macon County residents by increasing accessibility to community resources.
Care Force One is versatile, spacious, handicapped accessible and less expensive than other community health trailers. It is a magnet for conversation, an initial connection for prevention and intervention resources. It is also used in areas where limited resources are available; which helps in reducing inappropriate episodic care and health disparities.
Service agencies, civic organizations and community groups are invited to request use of Care Force One by contacting the Macon County Health Department. For more information, click below on the Guidelines for Use or CFO Request Form. If approved for use, a fee of $100.00 per event is charged to cover cost of maintenance.
