2010 Influenza
and Pneumococcal Clinics
Flu Shots - $20.00
Vaccine for Eligible Children - $10.00 each dose (must meet requirements)
Medicare or Medicaid Cards are accepted at the time of vaccination.
Recommended Groups:

Age 50 years old or
over, especially those 65 or over. |
|
• |
Anyone with a chronic medical
condition, such as diabetes, hypertension,
emphysema, or other condition affecting the heart, lungs, or immune
system. |

All children 6 months to 18 years
of age. Flu shots are not available for children birth
to 6 months of age, instead their parents are encouraged to receive
the vaccine themselves. Siblings of this age group are also
encouraged to receive the influenza vaccine. |

Pregnant women at a greater than
14 weeks gestation during the influenza season may receive the
vaccine if the OB provider gives them. |
| • |
Anyone requesting an influenza shot to reduce
their risk of acquiring influenza. |
Pneumococcal Vaccine - $50.00
Eligibility
(Must meet one of the following requirements):

• |
Age 65 or over and
never had the pneumococcal vaccine. |

• |
Age 65 that had first pneumococcal
vaccine before age 65 and at least 5 years prior. |

Age 18 to 65 years old with a
long-term illness associated with a high risk of getting
pneumococcal disease, including those with heart or lung disease,
diabetes, alcoholism, cirrhosis, or leak of cerebral spinal fluid.
If less than 65 years of age their private physician should
recommend it to the patient. |
